New Market Report Now Available: Consumer Appliances in the Netherlands
The Dutch economy continued to slip further into recession in 2012, significantly hurting consumers' spending confidence. This resulted in weakened demand for most types of large consumer appliances, as consumers postponed purchases of new items and replacement purchases wherever possible. Another negative impact came from the gridlock in the housing market, which particularly affected sales of built-in kitchen appliances.
