In 2012, value sales of beauty and personal care in constant terms again stayed below the CAGR of the review period with an overall growth more in line with those of 2010 and 2011. High per capita consumption in some of the larger categories has begun to impact adversely on volume growth and despite a good economic environment which allowed consumers to absorb variations in unit prices, sales failed to regain the pace of the beginning of the review period.
