New Report Available: Furniture and Homewares Stores in Belgium
The financial crisis led consumers to cut their expenditure on furniture. According to Fedustria, the local trade association for furnishings and furniture, products such as dining room, living room, bedroom, garden and terrace furniture were particularly affected. Nonetheless, kitchen furniture was clearly more dynamic in 2011. Also, the Belgian National Bank confirmed the trend in 2012, with a decrease in orders in the furniture industry.
