Improved economic conditions amongst low-income consumer groups (socioeconomic strata D/E) help sales of home insecticides. Albeit at the bottom of the economic pyramid and as a result of having improved income levels, socioeconomic strata D/E consumers have been able to add several product categories to their shopping basket, including insecticides. First-time purchases from low-income consumer groups have helped insecticides sales.
