New Market Report Now Available: Coffee in the Netherlands
In 2012 the premiumisation trend helped push the growth of coffee value sales, which had declined in volume terms. Fresh coffee beans and hard fresh ground coffee pods in particular contributed to this value growth, as Dutch consumers opted for good quality coffee. Fresh coffee beans registered the strongest retail volume growth of 11% yet, being from a small base, had little impact on the overall retail volume sales of the overall category.
