In 2012, vitamins and dietary supplements registered healthy retail value sales growth, in line with Estonia's inflation rate. Growth was also attributable to the popularisation of healthy lifestyles and health trends, which encouraged consumers to purchase these products more often. Dietary supplements were often purchased in order to increase the nutritional value of a consumer's diet.
