"Wine in Latvia" Published
In 2012, wine posted a healthy post-crisis total volume increase of 2%. However, the growth was driven mainly by fortified wine and other sparkling wine. The wine-drinking culture remains underdeveloped in Latvia, compared with Western and Southern Europe, for example. Many Latvians still opt for beer or spirits.
