New Market Study Published: Sports and Energy Drinks in Belgium
Sports and energy drinks enjoyed increasing consumer demand and acceptance in Belgium in 2012. Belgian consumers tended to favour energy drinks at the expense of sports drinks. Despite higher volume sales, sports drinks faced fierce competition from energy drinks in 2012. The latter moved on to more natural flavours to improve its image As a result, the performance of energy drinks boosted the positive growth of the category as a whole.
