Men continue to spend less on clothes than women in Romania and they are also much more responsive to economic constraints. In 2012, however, there were signs that men were being attracted by lower priced products and retail sales throughout the entire year. The fact men's apparel is generally not as discounted or inexpensive as women's apparel means that volume sales in the area increased by 1% in 2012 while current value sales increased by 4%.
