Given the decline of birth rates in Chile, companies turn to parents' concerns and willingness to buy quality products for their children as a growth driver. A combination of a growing number of working mothers in Chilean families allowing them to invest more, and parents trying to compensate for working long hours and dedicating less time to their children, ensured healthy growth in 2012. Nonetheless, growth rates are expected to decline in the coming years.
