Recently Released Market Study: Sanitary Protection in Romania
Thanks to its stable consumer base, sanitary protection recorded 1% growth in volume terms and 5% in current value terms in 2012 thanks to premiumisation. Pantyliners and ultra-thin towels witnessed dynamic growth during the review period and in 2012, at the expense of standard towels and tampons which saw their popularity declining. Private label still has an insignificant market share within sanitary protection, however its market share somewhat increased during the review period.
