Home and garden showed steady value growth in 2012. Although the rate of growth slowed compared to 2011, it remained positive for three consecutive years. Among four major categories, gardening showed the lowest growth rate in 2012. This was mainly due to professional flowers and plant shops providing a total package service to consumers who find it more convenient to use shops rather than take care of the plant or garden themselves.
