Increased urbanisation and rising disposable incomes encouraged consumers to spend more on baby and child-specific products in 2012. Urbanisation resulted in a growing number of consumers gaining access to these products in cities, boosting sales. However, a lack of awareness and low purchasing power, especially in rural areas, prevented many consumers from buying these products. The most popular products include baby shampoo, baby lotion and baby talcum powder.
