New Market Report Now Available: Full-Service Restaurants in Hungary
Although the worst of the downtown was thought to be over, the channel suffered further losses in 2012. Outlet numbers fell by 1% and the number of transactions and current value sales stagnated - a development which shows that full service restaurants could not increase their prices due to rising consumer price sensitivity. The domestic economy experienced a difficult year and consumer purchasing power weakened. As a result, less people and families could afford to eat out at restaurants.
