New Market Report: Smoking Tobacco in Hungary
As a cigarette driven market, there is no long tradition of RYO tobacco use in Hungary. The only reason that the popularity of RYO tobacco increased so dramatically over the review period was that the high increases in the tax on machine-manufactured cigarettes led to cigarettes becoming unaffordable for many Hungarian smokers.
