Dog Food in Hungary - New Market Study Published
Sales of premium dry dog food, especially large pack variants, are expected to decline significantly in terms of volume. Local retailers charging 27% VAT are not able to compete with foreign operators of other EU countries offering similar products with lower taxes through online retailing. Primarily, the price sensitive breeders buying bulk packaging and ordering large volumes switch to cheaper sources, such as German, Polish, or Slovak, online retailers.
