Cat food in 2013 is forecast to grow by 18% in value terms due to the rising demand for cat food as well as the increasing trend of adopting cats in Vietnam. Increasingly busy lifestyles make people need more companionship than before, and cats are a good choice besides dogs. Also, cats are smaller and cleaner, thus easier to raise and take care of. All the above reasons contributed to the strong value growth of cat food in 2012.
