New Market Report: Consumer Lending in Sweden
Both the gross lending and outstanding balance of consumer lending in Sweden noted positive growth in 2013. Growth in 2013 was, however, somewhat slower than the CAGR posted for the review period as a whole. This development can be attributed to more cautious and considered guidelines on the granting of loans, not least with reference to mortgages/housing, as seen with the introduction of a mortgage cap in the latter years of the review period.
