Pet humanisation trends is expected to continue to drive growth within pet products during 2013. As more and more pet food products are released to target specific health issues, pet owners continue to seek other means of maintaining the health of their pets, for example pet dietary supplements. As a result, current value sales for pet products increased by 6% in 2012 to reach NZ$59 million in 2012, in line with the current value CAGR witnessed during the review period.
