Market Report, "Baby Food in Latvia", Published
The economic crisis in Latvia in 2009-2010 left a highly negative impact on consumer confidence and also birth rates. Many couples postponed baby planning until later times and birth rates in Latvia declined dramatically. Compared to its peak in 2008, the number of newborns in 2011 was almost 23% lower, which also left a highly negative impact on sales of baby food in Latvia.
