Recently Released Market Study: Cat Food in South Korea
Cat food recorded value growth of 24% in 2013. The share of households owning a cat increased slightly in 2013, to reach 2%, with the cat population growing by 7%. This, in turn, strongly impacted the performance of cat food in volume terms. In addition, premium cat food posted 25% growth, while mid-priced cat food saw 20% growth; these performances served to boost the value of cat food as a whole, as the average unit price rose.
