Packaged food witnessed confident growth over the review period. One of the key factors driving sales was continuous development of potential consumers. After economic slowdown early in the review period, economy recovered very quickly as did consumer purchasing potential. As the level of incomes increased, consumers started purchasing a variety of newer products in addition to the basic products. In addition, consumer potential also benefited from steady growth of the population.
