New Market Report: Chilled Processed Food in the United Kingdom
The mainstays of chilled processed food, such as processed meat, are growing slowly. Consumers are unwilling to sacrifice these products, but are equally unwilling to buy more meat. More expensive products, such as chilled fish, are contracting as shoppers look to save money on luxuries. Growth is concentrated in highly convenient or relatively new products, such as chilled ready meals, chilled soups or fresh cut fruits.
