New Market Report Now Available: ATM Cards in Germany
ATM cards registered marginal decline in 2013 in terms of transaction volumes. The consumer preference for withdrawing smaller amounts of money almost offset the effects of population and current value decline. The current value of cash withdrawals declined by 1% in 2013, and by 3% in constant terms. This was due to the growing reliance on payment via financial cards, so less cash was needed.
