Frozen processed food looks set to record strong double-digit retail volume growth in 2013, thanks to its convenience factor as it helps to quicken many cooking steps. As such, the main target market for frozen processed food is urban dwellers, who have increasingly busy and hectic work lives and do not have much time to prepare proper meals at home. Frozen processed food also attracts many young consumers, who find cooking from scratch too time consuming and troublesome.
