Apparel and Footwear in Chile - New Study Released
The unemployment rate in Chile has been decreasing every year since 2009, reaching 6% in 2013. Besides, in 2010, 2011 and 2012, real GDP growth was around 6%, while in 2013 it was only 4%. A low unemployment rate and GDP growth increased salaries, and this translated into higher disposable incomes for families. At the same time, imports from Asia continued to drive prices down.
