In 2013 plus size jeans were offered by several brands, mostly in department stores and through catalogue sales. The overweight and obesity problems amongst the Mexican population is the main driver for textile and apparel companies to develop functional and trendy garments which women use in order to feel more confident. Some of these brands are Oh! Pomp, Magic Pomp, Sexy Jeans and Britos and they claim that when wearing these jeans their body will present a better figure.
