New Market Research Report: Consumer Foodservice by Location in France
The unfavourable economic context impacted all types of locations in 2013. Lower purchasing power led consumers to reduce their expenditure on food and drink outside of the home. Even so, establishments located in retail and in particular in travel locations performed better than outlets in stand-alone, leisure or lodging locations. They are more competitive in terms of price, but also are located in more convenient places, where consumers go for reasons other than to eat and drink.
