Street stalls/kiosks registered modest growth in 2013. The category profited from the economic decline as consumers preferred lower cost foods when eating out, however, growth was also limited as consumers are avoiding the high street and major retail areas more. This limits the value development of street stalls/kiosks. Another issue is that many people decided to bring food and drink from home instead of buying them while on the go. However, there were also positive sides to the economic crisis.
