2013 saw stable growth of alcoholic drinks in Macedonia in both volume and value terms. Consumer confidence improved in 2013 as the domestic economy recovered and continued its annual growth of between 2% and 3%. Increased tourist arrivals made an additional contribution to the on-trade growth of alcoholic drinks while changing lifestyles have secured positive current and future growth for most alcoholic drinks categories.
