Wood-plastic composites are materials made of wood, flour, or fiber and plastic resins. These composites contain a certain number of additives that foster the integration of wood and plastic, and aid in the manufacturing process. Most wood-plastic composites are manufactured using wood and plastic wastes or recyclates, while others are manufactured using virgin wood and plastics. Largely, extrusion is employed in their manufacturing process, followed by injection molding.
