Britain's growing population seems to be accompanied with a growing demand for personal transport – with the Royal Academy of Engineering revealing figures which show the number of vehicles on the roads is set to increase significantly over the next quarter of a century. An increase of 55% is expected over the space of 25 years; which means that infrastructure and services will also be under pressure to expand in order to cater to this rising volume.
