STARK's lead singer and bassist Lani Ford is recovering nicely after having a torn ligament in her wrist repaired. Even though you would think she was having open heart surgery with her dramatics, Lani Ford of STARK is getting back in the groove after mostly minor wrist surgery that was mostly successful. She is eager to start playing bass and guitar again soon; but in the meantime, she is in the studio mixing solo acoustic tracks she laid down before the surgery. She plans to release a solo acoustic CD before the end of the year. She will return to the West Coast to play the ‘nette radio showcase at Genghis Cohen November 18th. While out there, she will attend the Daisy Rock event November 19th and El Cid’s open mic November 22nd. She will also play live with Craig Williams on KNAC November 21st and appear with Gary Garver again on Rock Me Tv.

Award winning singer/songwriter Maya Solovey will launch "Maya's Culinary Concerts" at this month's CMJ Music Marathon Networking. Opening the "Musicians As Entrepreneurs" showcase, Maya will discuss her newest project with Women in Music President Evangelia Livanos and how it can serve as a template for independent artists to expand their opportunities beyond music, followed by a performance with her band. Gonzalez y Gonzalez, one of downtown Manhattan's hottest destinations, has been selected as the "Official Bar" for Nightmare: Superstitions, New York’s Most Horrifying Haunted House.
