The Moving Day annual fundraiser of 2015 for the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland received a donation from Goody Tickets to help accomplish the non-profit's mission.
Overland Park, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/29/2016 -- Goody Tickets supported Moving Day a Walk for Parkinson's 2015, the annual fundraiser for the National Parkinson Foundation Homeland, with a donation made to help the non-profit accomplish their mission. The event successfully raised more than $90,000 for improving the quality of life for people touched by Parkinson's disease.
The 2016 Moving Day Walk for Parkinson's event was recently held on June 11, 2016 at the Liberty Memorial grounds. Participants of the event could run or walk courses from one mile up to 5K and successfully raised more than $200,000. The event featured a family friendly walk course, kids area, caregivers area and more. Fundraising for the 2016 Moving Day a Walk for Parkinson's remain actively open to allow for contributors who missed the event to make late donations.
Donations to Moving Day go to fund research, treatment, and provide better lives for people with Parkinson's. The National Parkinson Foundation delivers care to more than 50,000 patients worldwide and funds research like the Parkinson's Outcomes Project. The foundation also provides free resources for patients and their families including a toll-free helpline and Aware in Care hospital kits.
