The Triangle Technology Executives Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to continuous education and economic development of technology companies in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina, has announced the recipients of its 2010 TTEC Scholarship. Peter Phillips, who is pursuing an MBA degree at Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill, won the first place award of $6,000 for his performance at Bank of America, where he developed assessment Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance. R. Winslow Dalpe, currently studying at North Carolina State University, was awarded the second place prize of $4,000 for his work at Motorola, where he developed a software diagnostic tool for use by Motorola support technicians.

The Triangle Technology Executives Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to continuous education and economic development of technology companies in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina, will host a golf tournament scholarship fundraiser on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at Brier Creek Country Club, located at 9400 Club Hill Drive. Platinum-, gold- and silver-level sponsorships remain available; sponsors will select team members from the organization’s members list as well as external to TTEC. The nonprofit organization will use the fundraiser to sponsor two annual scholarships for students in the Triangle colleges, universities and technical schools who are pursuing an IT-related career. There will be an annual award of a first place scholarship of $6,000 and a second place award of $4,000, to be paid directly to the students’ educational institutions to cover tuition, room and board, and books.
