This company was followed closely by Tolid Daru Co, also with a 13% value share, and Iran Najo Pharmaceutical Hygienic & Cosmetic Co with 9%. The main reason for the relatively high value shares of Pak Darou Co and Tolid Daru Co is each company's high levels of production of povidone iodine 10% 250ml, which is used widely in Iranian hospitals and clinics as a topical germicidal/antiseptic.
Dermatologicals in Ian is expected to increase in value by 1% in constant 2013 terms over the entire forecast period, a slight improvement upon the 2% value decline recorded in the category in constant 2013 terms over the entire review period.
