New Market Study, "Naturally Healthy Packaged Food in Argentina", Has Been Published
Naturally healthy packaged food continued to gain sales as Argentinian reduced their consumption of fresh and processed meat, moving away from meat-centred diets by including more vegetables, fruit and soy products. Both an increasing awareness of health issues and soaring meat prices, together with high company activity in new product development especially in soy-based products, helped push down annual per capita consumption of red meat from 69kg in 2009 to 57kg in 2012.
