Organic Certification: Streamlining Industrial Processes for Quality
According to CCOF, foods and other materials are given organic certificate according to standards set by USDA National Organic Program. The concept for certification was developed during Organic Foods Production Act of 1990. After regular revisions by National Organic Standards Board, the standards came into effect during 2002. The revised terms now take into account various factors such as soil quality, animal raising, pest and weed control, and use of input materials for certification.
