New Market Study Published: Wipes in Kenya
Wipes had close to insignificant sales at the end of the review period, with volume sales remaining below five million units in 2013. These products are expensive in Kenya, which constrains sales due to widespread poverty. In addition, only Proctor & Gamble's baby wipes have a consistent and wide distribution presence, with this resulting in most consumers having access to only a limited range of products. Most consumers meanwhile view wipes as an unnecessary extravagance.
