Home Laundry Appliances in Taiwan - New Market Study Published
Volume sales of home laundry appliances recorded moderate growth in 2013, though posting slower growth compared to the previous year. The slight decline in demand was largely due to a repeal of the government subsidy on energy-efficient washing machines, which was established in 2012 to push awareness of energy-saving home appliances. The subsidy was a key driver for sales of energy-efficient major appliances in 2012, but was repealed in 2013 to fuel growth in other areas within consumer appliances.
