The value growth across the category apart from baby wipes was faster than volume growth as the demand for specific products increased. Janssen-Cilag continued to lead sales in 2013 with value share of 39%. The company markets the well-known Natusan brand portfolio, which includes both baby as well as child-specific products. Moreover, the company also markets more age-specific products such as its Natusan First Touch Sensitive selection, which is meant for new-born babies. As a result, due to its excellent selection of products, advertising, wide distribution and eye-level shelf-positioning, the company secured its leading position in Finnish baby and child-specific products. Kesko ranked second in 2013, with its private label brand Pirkka recording a retail value share of 16%. The company's product selection includes brands without preservatives, colourants or fragrances.
