S & B Porta-Bowl now offers a new line of ADA (Americans with Disability Act) Restroom Trailers that will give wheelchairs plenty of space to maneuver around. The ADA Restroom lowers to the ground, minimizing the amount of space needed for the ramp, which is a huge improvement upon the current models that will reduce interior square footage to accommodate for the extra ramp space need. The Royal Augusta & Newport ADA trailers are 30' long and 15' wide, which contributes to the roominess of this restroom trailer series. S & B Porta-Bowl recognized the need for disabled users and that the current market is not meeting their needs quick enough. "S & B Porta-Bowl is sensitive to the needs of the disabled and sought to bring on a line of portable restrooms that will serve them better & make it a nicer experience" says Jon Sola, the President.

New technologies provide more options for the ETO organization. The ability to tailor or mold the system to the business can provide significant value. Streamlining business processes or implementing a unique process that better serves the market can mean lower operating costs or increased customer service. Streamline Systems recently announced that a significant number of ETO (engineer-to-order) manufacturers have concluded that it is time to change their ERP solution. These one-of-a-kind manufacturers have outgrown their old ERP system or it no longer keeps pace with the changes of the business. Older ERP systems are not designed to stretch and fit forever. ERP systems built on older or proprietary databases make it difficult to adapt to change or get good information out on a timely basis. ERP systems designed for a unique niche industry, like ETO, can limit the ability to adapt to changes in the market or business. It is possible that one-size-fits-all no longer fits ETO companies.

The less time spent looking up or processing data means more time improving product quality or delivery. Microsoft is the de facto leader in business productivity applications. Features from Microsoft Office that improve the user experience are built into Dynamics AX 2012. Working with data is like working in Excel, with sorting, filtering and advanced query tools to speed up decision making. The Action pane, or Ribbon as it is called in Office, enables the user to easily navigate to any related function or process. Eliminating menu searches with forward, back and history buttons, helps you find things more quickly, with fewer clicks and less pain. Contextual intelligence is provided with simple rollover of the mouse, or a single click hyperlink. Regardless of the challenges facing an ETO organization, it makes sense to simplify how the team gets work done.
