Dean Ogan, owner of Rocky Top Hospitality has announced the debut of Tribeca Tavern’s holiday burger menu. The menu features four new burgers, which include the Christmas Spirit made of fresh ground burger with sautéed spinach, Chapel Hill Creamery feta, roasted red pepper and an olive-rosemary tapenade; the Jingle Bell Bison Melt made of fresh ground bison, Chapel Hill Creamery smoked mozzarella, caramelized onions and 1000 Island on rye; the I’ll Have A BLUE Christmas Without You made of blackened lamb, Point Reyes blue cheese, roasted tomatoes and fried basil leaves; and the A Very Castro Christmas made with fresh ground beef with local country ham, Kings Cut gruyere, pickles and mustard aioli. These burgers will only be available Monday, Dec. 20 through Friday, Dec. 31.

Paul Fedorkowicz, partner-in-charge at Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P. has been re-elected to the firm’s Executive Board. Jennifer and Ed Schrage, owners of Pronto Pasta (http://www.prontopasta.com), have announced that they are participating in the “Gimme 5” recycling campaign. The restaurant will serve as a drop off location for hard-to-recycle #5 plastics. The program is open to general public who only need to drop off #5 plastic containers, such as yogurt cups or take-out containers, to the restaurant. The “Gimme 5” campaign, created by Preserve Products, recycles #5 plastics that are usually seen as unrecyclable and makes them into everyday home products such as toothbrushes and razors.

The NC State Jenkins MBA program has announced the launch of two new fellowship programs to be offered in fall 2011 in entrepreneurship (HiTec) and supply chain management. Through the fellowship programs, students will receive full tuition and health insurance, along with a generous stipend of $12,000 per year.
