The City Union Mission of Kansas City, MO continues to receive the support of Lamar Hunt Jr. through the Loretto Foundation. The mission is currently celebrating its 91st year of service to the poor and homeless adults and children of Kansas City. Multiple fundraising event's recently took place to continue the services provided by the City Union Mission.

Lamar Hunt Jr. and the Loretto Foundation continue to support the non-profit Bluegrass Heritage Foundation and their upcoming Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival and Chili Cookoff. The festival will be held the weekend of October 16-17 at Farmers Branch Historical Park in Farmers Branch, TX.

The When In Need Foundation is a non-profit organization that works globally to help children have a chance at life and a brighter future. Plans are in top gear for the Restoring Hope Gala with lots of entertainment and dignitaries expected at the event. In line with of the organization's Mission of Mercy (M.O.M.) initiative, the event seeks to benefit various children's causes globally by raising donations and awareness for its mission. Thor Halvorssen Mendoza, a renowned human rights activist and founder of the HRF or Human Rights Foundation, recently discussed the release of human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko and journalist Bheki Makhubu in Swaziland.
