When the world renowned Washington DC based Choral Arts Society, one of the leading choirs in the nation, recently announced that the retiring founder and current director Norman Scribner would be replaced by Professor Scott Tucker more than a few eyebrows were raised. Those who didn't raise their eyebrows likely just said 'who' when they heard the news. Few people in DC had even heard of Tucker so his appointment came as a bit of a surprise to onlookers who had more than a passing interest in the search for Scribner's replacement.
